Education Programs Guide

Kualoa Ranch is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Education Department as an Education Programs Guide. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading engaging tours and activities that showcase the beauty, history, and culture of Hawai'i.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that integrate Kualoa's ranch history, Hawaiian culture, language, and environmental education.
  • Lead tours and activities tailored to specific age or grade levels, focusing on Hawaiian culture, language, and environmental education.
  • Assist with the research, evaluation, facilitation, and continuous improvement of the educational curriculum.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of the campus, including landscape work, lo'i care, 'āina restoration, and animal care.
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for participants of all ages.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Hawaiian culture, language, sustainability, and environmental awareness.
  • Strong communication skills with a positive and professional attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of experience working with children or adults in an educational setting.
  • Experience in group facilitation, curriculum development, lesson planning, and team building with various age groups is preferred.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks related to animal care, landscape maintenance, hiking, farming, and canoe paddling.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
