Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Hawaii State Department of Education. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will work with students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualized plans to improve communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech and language pathology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to improve communication skills
  • Work with students, teachers, and parents to implement plans and provide support
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement programs to improve communication skills
  • Provide training and support to teachers and other staff members on communication disorders and strategies for supporting students
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Valid Hawaii State Speech Pathologist License
  • Experience working with students with communication disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
