REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Youth Services

POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Exempt

PAY RATE: $50,000/Annually (Flat Rate)

Our mission is advanced through various educational, awareness, and advocacy initiatives aimed at assisting families in under-resourced areas.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Youth Services Site Coordinator, under the guidance of the Associate Director of Youth Services, will oversee the daily operations and management of the assigned program site(s).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary liaison for parents and families.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for the assigned program site(s).
  • Supervise instructional staff directly.
  • Manage the registration process for new participants.
  • Ensure accurate and timely attendance tracking for all participants.
  • Input and verify program data for accuracy.
  • Oversee the arrival and dismissal of students, ensuring proper sign-out procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Counselor on student assessments.
  • Conduct informal classroom observations to monitor management practices.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Document incidents, accidents, and complaints appropriately.
  • Communicate any concerns to the immediate supervisor.
  • Provide feedback on instructional materials and literacy strategies.
  • Work with supervisors and counselors to schedule literacy instruction across multiple grade levels.
  • Partner with the Curriculum Specialist to develop lesson plans.
  • Deliver literacy instruction to students in grades 1 through 5.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress.
  • Serve as a backup counselor when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of an associate degree in education or a related field is required, with a preference for a bachelor's degree. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in literacy instruction within an elementary school environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass a fingerprinting and Level 2 background check.
  • Submit to random drug testing as per organizational policies.
  • Participate in ongoing staff development and training.
  • Sign an Affidavit of Good Moral Character.
  • Must not have any felony or misdemeanor convictions related to abuse or neglect.
  • Provide references upon request.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, sit, crouch, bend, speak, and hear.
  • Engage in physical activities with participants without limitations.
  • Lift, carry, or move objects weighing between 10 and 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to work effectively amidst distractions and interruptions.
  • Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
  • Flexible hours required to accommodate afterschool programming.
