LSF is seeking dedicated Youth Care Specialists who aspire to positively influence the lives of young individuals aged 10-17.

Available Shifts: 2:30 PM - 11 PM and 10:30 PM - 7 AM

Evening and weekend availability is required.

Role Overview:

This position is centered on direct service delivery. The Youth Care Specialist is responsible for supervising residents aged 10-17, ensuring a nurturing and secure environment, and facilitating transportation for residents during external activities. As a Youth Care Specialist, you will serve as a role model, motivating each resident to engage in educational pursuits and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a supportive atmosphere for youth and oversee resident activities.
  • Utilize trauma-informed practices to provide safety, consistent care, and comprehensive support to residents.
  • Maintain daily security and upkeep of the facility.
  • Engage in the execution and evaluation of client case plans.
  • Document and monitor daily youth activities.
  • Assign and oversee household tasks.
  • Prepare meals as necessary.
  • Conduct client screenings, initial intakes, and satisfaction surveys as directed.
  • Complete essential initial documentation for clients.
  • Supervise clients in self-administering medication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Experience:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with youth and at-risk populations in a structured environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work extended hours and maintain flexible scheduling.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Dependability, discretion, and sound judgment are essential.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and the community.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs of our service population.
  • Collaborative team player with colleagues and management.
