Position: Youth Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Membership
The primary responsibility of the Youth Coordinator is to develop, coordinate, promote, and execute activities for children and families. This role ensures that all activities are conducted to high standards and within budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will serve as an inspirational role model and a top professional in the field, with a strong passion for service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Family Committee and Director of Membership.
- Attend Family Committee meetings to ensure Members' needs are consistently met.
- Oversee all Children and Family Activities not specifically assigned to another committee.
- Ensure the safety of each activity; staff and vendors must be aware of the itinerary and adhere to safety protocols.
- Address any behavioral concerns of children.
- Engage regularly with children and families to foster a high level of comfort and trust.
- Coordinate schedules of Children and Family Activities with Club Directors.
- Work with the Director of Membership, Executive Chef, and Director of Catering to create the Social Calendar.
- Assist in developing a yearly budget for Children's Programs and negotiate with vendors to stay within budget.
- Track the performance of all Children and Family Activities.
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager to promote all internal advertising of Children and Family Activities.
- Complete all administrative tasks related to Children and Family activities, including tracking costs and Member billing.
- Coordinate with the Catering team on all aspects of Children and Family Activities.
- Maintain an inventory of games, equipment, and prizes.
- Support the Director of Membership in planning and executing Membership social events.
- Assist the Communications Manager with content ideas for the quarterly newsletter.
- Support Membership Assistants at the Membership Front Desk.
- Maintain communication with Membership Assistants regarding event details.
- Recognize and anticipate the individual needs of Members and guests.
- Ensure all Members and guests receive efficient and courteous service.
- Exercise discretion in significant matters at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or Child Development Certification from a two-year college.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory teacher or Youth Coordinator role.
Licenses and Certifications:
- CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal, managerial, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage change effectively.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience presenting to groups.
- Ability to promote teamwork.
- Experience training and managing a diverse staff.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
