Role and Responsibilities

The Community Engagement Specialist will be tasked with advocating for the services of the Oral Surgery Center within a designated region. Collaborating closely with the administrative and marketing teams, the Community Engagement Specialist will formulate strategic initiatives aimed at generating new business opportunities. A considerable portion of the role will involve cultivating and nurturing relationships with referral sources. Additionally, the Community Engagement Specialist will partner with the clinical team to ensure that practices within the assigned area are achieving or surpassing patient acquisition targets.

  • Enhance the Center's network by increasing the number of referral relationships with dental offices in the local community.
  • Collaborate with Surgeons to devise marketing strategies and reach growth-focused objectives.
  • Conduct meetings with dentists, office managers, and practice administrators, including both scheduled appointments and impromptu visits, with the aim of boosting patient referrals.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with dental professionals and their administrative staff.
  • Stay informed about local competitors and monitor market dynamics.
  • Identify new surgeons, services, and opportunities for referrals.
  • Present potential business collaborations to management.
  • Communicate information regarding events and services to referral sources.
  • Develop a quarterly engagement delivery strategy.
  • Assist in selecting suitable educational approaches for Continuing Education courses, including instructors, faculty, and potential participants.
  • Organize local educational and social events for referral sources, encompassing venue selection, catering choices, marketing strategies, and day-of support.
  • Responsible for planning, creating, and sharing original, high-quality content across social media platforms.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities and contacts made throughout the day.
  • Keep management updated on results by submitting weekly activity reports or as needed.
Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of five years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in sales or marketing is preferred.
