Community Programs Manager

RE-volv is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting clean energy and climate justice. We help community-based nonprofits go solar and educate community members about the benefits of clean energy.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a Community Programs Manager to lead our Solar Ambassador fellowship program and manage community engagement events. The ideal candidate will have experience in volunteer program management, community engagement, and clean energy policy advocacy.
Responsibilities- Recruit and onboard Solar Ambassador teams to help spearhead nonprofit solar projects in their communities.
- Train Solar Ambassadors to host community engagement events and advocate for equitable solar policy.
- Partner with solar education and policy advocacy organizations to coordinate efforts of Solar Ambassadors.
- Facilitate and maintain training curriculum & modules.
- Develop and maintain employment and career development resources and opportunities for Solar Ambassadors.
- Coordinate and host monthly webinars and fellowship learning sessions.
- Work with leading solar trade associations and companies to establish streamlined processes for vetting and hiring Solar Ambassador alumni for open positions.
- 3-5 years of experience in volunteer program management, community engagement, clean energy policy advocacy and/or event coordination.
- Demonstrated commitment to climate and energy justice and professional experience working towards an equitable clean energy transition.
- Volunteer training experience, including curriculum development.
- Proven track record leading event planning.
- Experience with and understanding of successful community organizing principles.
- Excellent written and phone communication skills.
- Excellent Salesforce skills.
- Ability to self-manage deadlines and tasks.
