Job Description:

We are seeking an Electronic Filing Specialist to assist with all steps in the lifecycle of an electronic filing, including advance communication with case teams, researching rules and requirements, reviewing documents, submitting compliant documents, and coordinating courtesy copies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Timely and Compliant Document Submission: Complete electronic filing of documents in federal and state courts and agencies with minimal errors.
  2. Research and Guidance: Research court rules and e-filing procedures to provide guidance to case teams and attorneys.
  3. Document Review and Compliance: Review documents for compliance with local rules and requirements, working closely with Docket Counsel-West and Director of Docket.
  4. Court Communication: Communicate with courts clerks and agencies as necessary to confirm current rules and procedures.
  5. Confidentiality and Security: Confirm all confidential material has been properly redacted from documents.
  6. Courtesy Copies: Coordinate the distribution of courtesy copies as needed.
  7. E-Filing Procedure Updates: Research changes in e-filing procedures for relevant courts and communicate these changes to Docket Counsel-West.
  8. Ticketing System Maintenance: Maintain online e-filing ticketing system for department.
  9. E-Filing Account Management: Assist Docket Counsel-West with maintenance of e-filing accounts and databases.
  10. Training and Development: Assist Docket Counsel-West with the development of electronic filing training materials for attorneys and staff.
  11. Special Projects: Assist Docket Counsel-West with special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years e-filing experience in a law firm setting required.
  3. Remote Work: This role is fully remote and must reside in a commutable distance to the local applicable office.

Estimated Salary: The estimated annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $107,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule, depending on location (Los Angeles or Bay Area). Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
