Position Overview:

This position reports directly to the CEO of the Regulated Utility Business. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Utility CEO and the Executive Team, facilitating effective interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.

The role is designed to complement the leadership team, including presidents and vice presidents, with a focus on enhancing communication, problem-solving, innovation, and decision-making processes.

We seek an individual who is prepared to take on a proactive, behind-the-scenes role, demonstrating the ability to maintain trust and confidentiality with all stakeholders.

This position offers the opportunity to engage in strategic thinking, develop essential processes, analyze relevant data, and create impactful presentations and comprehensive business review materials across various functions.

The primary responsibility is to act as a force multiplier for the Executive Team, while also managing ad hoc processes and strategic initiatives as required.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a liaison between the Utility Executive Team and employees or other stakeholders, managing communication flow and cadence.
  • Provide recommendations and consultation to department leaders to enhance teamwork.
  • Plan, coordinate, and maintain focus during meetings to achieve objectives.
  • Oversee monthly Executive Committee meetings and subcommittees, including agenda and content management.
  • Facilitate strategic planning meetings and global collaboration among executive-level employees.
  • Monitor communications to and from the CEO, ensuring efficient information flow.
  • Assist executives in staying informed about company initiatives and issues.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Team to set strategic priorities and facilitate workflows.
  • Drive efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the CEO and Executive Team.
  • Prepare the CEO for significant internal and external meetings and events.
  • Manage ad-hoc processes and strategic initiatives on behalf of the CEO and Executive Team.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field.
  • A Master's Degree or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or a related field (consulting, strategy analyst, or business analyst experience in growth companies is preferred).
  • Proven track record of leading projects with the ability to prioritize and drive multiple concurrent initiatives to success.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing business environments.

Skills:

  • Detail-oriented strategic thinker with strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of building effective relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive in recommending improvements and making consistent decisions aligned with organizational values.
  • Proficient in handling large datasets and utilizing tools for data manipulation.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Ability to create clear models for executive-level consumption.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and the ability to engage in financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter attitude, thriving in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to navigate between tactical and strategic objectives.
