Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented student to work as a front desk assistant in the CAS Advising Office at American University in Washington, D.C.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Greet and assist visitors to the office, providing information and support as needed.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and files, both physical and digital.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, mail sorting, and supply management.
- Assist with event planning and coordination, including setup and teardown.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Collaborate with the advising team to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
Requirements:
- Must be an American University student in good standing.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of experience in a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
