Key Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant experience in power system or control system engineering is advantageous.

Experience supporting advanced power systems such as Power Flow and State Estimation within the Bulk Electric System is preferred.

Familiarity with grid solutions and energy management systems is a plus.

In-depth knowledge of advanced applications in energy management systems, including state estimation and contingency analysis, as well as voltage stability and transient stability analysis tools.

Proficiency with industry-standard power flow analysis software is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate strong technical and analytical abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a proactive approach, are highly valued.
Understanding of the Electric Transmission System is crucial.
Strong organizational and leadership capabilities are required.

Responsibilities:
Support real-time applications including state estimation and contingency analysis, ensuring high-quality solutions by refining network models and addressing telemetry and modeling issues.
Design, develop, and implement modifications to energy management system models to reflect ongoing changes in transmission, generation, and SCADA systems.
Provide timely responses to control center personnel regarding power system application issues.
Assist with daily maintenance activities for the energy management system.
Identify and address gaps in EMS processes.
Aid in the development and implementation of procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Provide operational support to EMS, including on-call duties as required.
Serve as a technical lead on projects involving multiple departments, overseeing project completion.
