Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Tilton Pacific Construction, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work on exceptional construction projects, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will provide primary support to our Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, and Assistant Project Manager, ensuring seamless project execution from startup to closeout. Key responsibilities include RFI management, submittal coordination, and project documentation.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for construction management, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage RFI's and submittals, ensuring timely coordination with architects, owners, and subcontractors.
  2. Assist with project startup, including blueprint review and coordination with stakeholders.
  3. Provide administrative support to the project team, including job number issuance and maintenance of project logs.
  4. Coordinate submittal management, ensuring compliance with project schedules and deadlines.
  5. Identify long lead-times and facilitate timely processing of submittals to meet project schedules.
  6. Manage change orders, ensuring timely processing and coordination with stakeholders.
  7. Ensure all project-related documents and logs are up-to-date and organized.
  8. Assist with project closeout, including coordination with subcontractors and collection of closeout packages.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in administrative or accounting positions, or a completed college degree in Construction Management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive attitude under time constraints, multiple assignments, and changing job priorities.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions

This is an exempt position, and employees may work more or less than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in any workweek without change in compensation. The position is generally assigned to a Monday through Friday workweek between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but may require occasional visits to construction jobsites.
