Team Structure: The Community & Event Coordinator role is integral to the retail operations of American Girl in New York City. This full-time position encompasses 37.5 hours per week and includes benefits. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.

Position Overview:

The American Girl retail location in New York City is seeking a proactive individual for the Community & Event Coordinator role. This position focuses on attracting customers to enhance sales through engaging programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and communication for group gatherings, sales events, and store activities.
  • Organize visits from influencers, VIPs, and celebrities.
  • Establish partnerships with local businesses and hotels.
  • Identify and pursue community partnership opportunities.
  • Propose initiatives aimed at increasing revenue.
  • Collaborate with the store team to assign roles for events, ensuring effective communication and adequate training.
  • Handle all necessary documentation, including contracts.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
Candidate Profile:

Desired Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in event coordination or related fields.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Presentation and platform skills.
  • Exceptional customer service aptitude.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
The hourly compensation for this role is competitive and based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
