Position Overview

Compass Community Schools is in search of a Family Engagement Coordinator dedicated to enhancing family and community involvement within the educational environment. This role focuses on fostering connections between families and schools while facilitating student recruitment efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen relationships between families and educational institutions.
  • Serve as an advocate for both families and students.
  • Encourage and enhance family participation in school activities.
  • Collaborate closely with at-risk students to ensure they receive ongoing support in achieving their academic objectives.
  • Inform families about available community resources that can provide essential assistance.
  • Create Family Resource Centers that offer access to periodicals, videos, books, and educational materials for families.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive student recruitment strategy, incorporating feedback from schools and the Network-level Director of Communications.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Alignment with the mission and vision of Compass Community Schools.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to strategically plan and execute initiatives with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution is preferred.
