Position: Robotics Technician

Shifts Available: 1st shift and 2nd shift, with flexible hours ranging from 8 to 10 hours per day.

Shift Details:

1st shift: 6 AM - 2:30 PM

2nd shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM

Contract Duration: 2-year Contract to Hire, with a guarantee of direct employment upon successful performance in the role.

Compensation: $21-27 per hour, based on experience, education, and certifications.

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Essential Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in robotics, automotive, or automation technology (educational experience is also considered).

- Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.

- Skilled in the use of hand tools, including screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, and multimeters.

- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree in Robotics is preferred.

- Willingness to work overtime and Saturday shifts as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Possession of robotics certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

A prominent provider of automation solutions for manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Robotics Technician. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring high-quality standards during product assembly, modification, and system integration based on provided documentation.
  • Following detailed instructions outlined in the Manufacturing Process Plan and documenting all in-process checks.
  • Utilizing engineering design documents to accurately place, assemble, and secure robots and related equipment.
  • Operating robots using a teach pendant.
  • Managing software updates, backups, and upgrades for factory automation systems.
  • Defining or teaching basic robot paths.
  • Conducting testing and functional verification of products and systems as specified.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Preparing factory automation products and systems for shipment.
  • Maintaining proper care and compliance with tool management procedures.
  • Exhibiting reliable attendance and a high level of professionalism in all aspects of work.
