Position: Robotics Technician

Shifts Available: 1st shift and 2nd shift openings, 8-10 hour workdays

Shift Details:

1st shift: 6 AM - 2:30 PM

2nd shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM

Contract Duration: 2-year Contract to Hire (with a guarantee of direct hire upon successful performance)

Compensation: $21-27/hr based on experience, education, and certifications

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Essential Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in robotics, automotive, or automation technology (educational experience is acceptable)

- Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics

- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, and multimeters

- High School Diploma/GED required; an Associate's Degree in Robotics is preferred

- Willingness to work overtime and Saturday shifts as needed

  • Ensuring high-quality standards during product assembly, modification, and system integration based on provided documentation (prints, illustrations, and schematics).
  • Following detailed instructions outlined in the Manufacturing Process Plan and documenting all in-process checks.
  • Utilizing engineering design documents to position, assemble, and secure robots and related equipment in designated areas.
  • Operating robots using a teach pendant.
  • Loading, upgrading, and backing up factory automation software.
  • Defining or teaching simple robot paths.
  • Conducting testing or functional verification of products and systems as specified.
  • Troubleshooting or diagnosing mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
  • Disassembling and preparing factory automation products and systems for shipment.
  • Maintaining proper care and use of factory automation tools and adhering to Tool Management Procedures.
  • Exhibiting reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Upholding a high level of professionalism in appearance, communication, and organization of the work area.
