Industrial Robot Programmer

Overview:
The Industrial Robot Programmer will be tasked with developing and optimizing robotic systems to ensure peak performance. Knowledge of automotive industry standards is highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine technical drawings to confirm proper integration and assess compatibility.
- Initialize and calibrate robotic systems.
- Install and configure Offline Programming (OLP) software.
- Establish Binding Table/I/O and set up Robot D-Net/I/O Communication.
- Program robotic paths for various applications such as welding, material handling, and maintenance tasks.
- Configure signal exchanges between robots and PLC systems.
- Test and troubleshoot programs at reduced speeds, ensuring accurate signal transmission to and from the PLC.
- Install physical stops and adjust software limits accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with PLC developers to refine automated processes.
- Assist maintenance teams with robot setup issues.
- Confirm weld locations by executing metal runs and making necessary adjustments.
- Document modifications to robotic programs and end-effector operations.
- Support FIS/Tech Review during operational cycles.
- Participate in customer acceptance testing and contribute to Technical Review studies.
- Securely back up robotic programs and settings.
- Comply with safety and environmental protocols while identifying and resolving issues.
- Engage in continuous improvement and adhere to quality management systems.
- Act as a representative during installations, ensuring professionalism and adherence to standards.
- Provide support documentation to the Robot Supervisor after installations.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical institution.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience or training in a comparable position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong grasp of mathematical principles, including geometry, trigonometry, and statistical analysis.
- MIOSHA Training certification is mandatory.
Work Environment:
Exposure to moving mechanical components and airborne particles; moderate noise levels are expected.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional local travel may be necessary for company operations.
