Position Summary

The Portfolio Project Manager I is responsible for overseeing advanced project management tasks and technical functions related to the Shared Technology Services (STS) program. This role serves as the primary technical liaison for project engineering, collaborating closely with service delivery leads and technical architects from various service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical and operational support to service providers for major program initiatives related to shared technology services.

• Coordinate and assess the portfolio of transition projects, ensuring effective collaboration with service providers and stakeholders.

• Manage the overall Transition program and projects, including Organizational Change Management activities.

• Oversee Service Evolution and Automation efforts, ensuring consistent processes and timely resolution of issues.

• Lead Request for Solution initiatives, ensuring alignment with service provider processes and customer satisfaction.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of service delivery processes, providing engineering expertise for Requests for Offers (RFO).

• Monitor service provider technology standards and quality of support, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Participate in governance models, presenting issues and soliciting feedback from stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.

• Relevant work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience:

• Minimum of eight years in IT project management.

• At least six years of experience with complex cloud environments and enterprise security programs.

Preferred Experience:

• Extensive background in IT portfolio management and operations.

• Proven ability to lead and inspire stakeholders effectively.

• Experience with large-scale transition initiatives and Organizational Change Management processes.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of project management theories and practices.

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.

Working Conditions:

• Frequent use of computers and communication devices.

• Occasional travel may be required.
