Job Overview

PotomacWave Consulting is seeking a Nuclear Intelligence Analyst to support a Federal client. This role is pivotal in generating and distributing comprehensive technical intelligence reports, delivering tailored briefings and evaluations to senior decision-makers, and collaborating with various stakeholders within the Intelligence Community and National Laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough all-source research and analysis to create finalized intelligence reports for use by headquarters officials, field specialists, and the US Intelligence Community.
  • Engaging directly with senior officials and technical specialists to develop customized intelligence reports and presentations that leverage analytic expertise and in-depth knowledge of the global nuclear landscape.
  • Collaborating with laboratory experts to formulate technically sound and analytically robust assessments based on individual expertise and external intelligence data.
  • Monitoring intelligence and open-source information for relevance to ongoing missions, providing preliminary evaluations of reports concerning established or emerging threat streams.
  • Maintaining awareness of significant global and national developments, alerting the Intelligence Community to pertinent items of interest or concern.
  • Addressing inquiries from within the agency and the broader intelligence community regarding Intelligence Community equities.
  • Creating materials to support briefings for senior personnel and high-level policy customers within the US government and the Intelligence Community.
  • Completing individual and collaborative tasks assigned by management in support of strategic objectives, resulting in both draft and finalized products.
  • Participating in interagency working group meetings focused on mission objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Experience in analyzing and evaluating technical and scientific data related to nuclear policy, security, or nonproliferation is essential.
  • Ability to assimilate technical information, identify issues, process data, and develop well-reasoned arguments or conclusions, effectively presenting these orally and in writing.
  • Strong understanding of international relations and global nuclear security challenges.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Capability to write, review, and present various reports, briefings, and information papers.
  • Some experience in handling large volumes of information and a foundational understanding of nuclear or radiological technologies.
  • Proficiency in automated data processing tools, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, international relations, or political science is required; a Master's Degree is advantageous.
  • Successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination may be required for this position.
  • An active TS clearance is mandatory.

Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000
