We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Energy Strategy and Program Manager to join our team at the Nuclear Innovation Alliance. This is a pivotal role in analyzing the economic landscape of nuclear power plants, identifying cost drivers, and developing strategies to catalyze markets for new nuclear power plants.
Key Responsibilities- Economic Analysis: Conduct in-depth economic analysis of nuclear power plants, synthesizing data from various sources to determine actual operating costs and estimate capital and operating costs for new nuclear power plants.
- Research and Evaluation: Evaluate existing research and data on nuclear costs and economics, providing clear and concise summaries of the implications for policy and industry practices.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with the NIA team and external experts to assess the policy implications of economic and technical findings, developing recommendations for policy and industry stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex economic concepts to various stakeholders, including financial experts, investors, policy makers, and industry partners.
- Financial Communication: Engage with the financial community to advocate for advanced nuclear energy as a sound investment, utilizing strong analytical and persuasive skills.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in economic analysis, project management, or related roles, preferably in the energy sector.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative skills with a proven ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical data into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Interdisciplinary Understanding: Ability to integrate economic, technical, and policy perspectives, fostering a holistic approach to problem-solving.
- Program Management and Fundraising Experience: Proven track record in developing successful programs and/or grant proposals and engaging with financial stakeholders.
