PotomacWave Consulting is seeking a Nuclear Intelligence Analyst to provide support for a Federal client. This role focuses on the creation and distribution of comprehensive technical intelligence reports, delivering tailored briefings and evaluations to high-level policymakers, and collaborating with various members of the Intelligence Community and National Laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting extensive all-source research and analysis to generate finalized intelligence products for use by headquarters officials, field specialists, and the US Intelligence Community (IC).
- Engaging directly with senior officials and technical specialists to create customized intelligence reports and briefings that leverage analytic expertise and in-depth knowledge of the global nuclear or radiological environment. Collaborate with representatives from other agencies to clarify reporting and coordinate interagency products.
- Working closely with laboratory experts to formulate technically sound and analytically robust assessments based on individual expertise and external intelligence data.
- Monitoring intelligence and open-source information for relevance to mission objectives, providing preliminary evaluations of reports concerning established or emerging threat streams.
- Maintaining awareness of evolving global and national events, informing the Intelligence Community of significant items of interest or concern.
- Addressing inquiries from within the agency and the broader intelligence community regarding Intelligence Community equities.
- Preparing materials to support briefings for senior personnel and policy customers within the US government and the Intelligence Community.
- Completing both individual and team-oriented tasks assigned by management in support of strategic missions, resulting in both draft and finalized products.
- Participating in interagency working group meetings focused on mission objectives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Experience in analyzing and evaluating technical and scientific data related to nuclear policy, security, or nonproliferation is essential.
- Ability to assimilate technical information, identify issues, process data, and develop well-reasoned arguments or conclusions, presenting these effectively both orally and in writing.
- Strong understanding of international relations and global nuclear or radiological security challenges.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Experience in writing, peer-reviewing, and presenting various reports, briefings, and information papers.
- Familiarity with managing large volumes of information and a basic understanding of the scientific and engineering principles related to nuclear or radiological technologies.
- Proficiency in automated data processing tools, including Microsoft Office applications.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, international relations, or political science is required; a Master's Degree is advantageous.
- Successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination may be a condition for selection.
- An active TS clearance is mandatory.
Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000
