Position Overview:

As an Open Source Intelligence Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing national security through your expertise in research and analysis. In an era where information is abundant, the challenge lies in transforming vast data into actionable insights. Your analytical skills and adaptability will be essential in identifying reliable data sources, filtering through extensive information, and generating valuable intelligence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of open source intelligence (OSINT) and publicly available information (PAI) to support military operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize advanced research techniques to explore new data sources and develop effective queries.
  • Integrate information from various platforms, including web and social media, to create comprehensive intelligence reports.
  • Apply your knowledge of operations and intelligence to enhance mission effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Develop and refine OSINT and PAI methodologies, ensuring alignment with national policies and regulations.
  • Leverage programming skills in Python or R to customize tools for efficient data acquisition and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in OSINT analysis, including the development of collection strategies and risk assessments.
  • Proficient in all-source intelligence processes, data evaluation, and analytical tools.
  • Strong understanding of internet-based research methodologies, including Boolean logic and social media analytics.
  • Familiarity with national OSINT policies and the ability to conduct independent analyses to meet mission objectives.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced data visualization tools and information databases.
  • Knowledge of additional intelligence disciplines such as signals intelligence (SIGINT) and human intelligence (HUMINT).
  • Ability to manage and coordinate research efforts for long-term projects.
  • Master's degree in a related field is advantageous.
  • Completion of relevant OSINT training courses is a plus.
