Responsibilities

The selected candidate will take on the role of an Intelligence Analyst, focusing on overt collection initiatives and providing essential recommendations to synchronize, optimize, manage, and deconflict these operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and utilizing queries to deliver collection metrics that support analytical outputs.
  • Maintaining awareness of the Department of Energy's collection landscape, enterprise capabilities, and limitations to effectively guide collection management strategies.
  • Gathering and preserving reporting, evaluation, and usage metrics to aid in the collection management mission.
  • Employing available intelligence tools for a qualitative assessment of platform and collection performance.
  • Identifying trends, issues, and highlights in Collection Management on a regular basis.
  • Contributing to the development of Collection Posture Statements, Source Panel Input, Capabilities Statements, Integrated Collection Strategies, and Collection Emphasis Messages.
Qualifications
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Q clearance.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in supporting HUMINT activities.
  • Experience in developing collection strategies, authoring posture statements, supporting source validation, and analyzing Intelligence Information Reports (IIR) is required.
  • A solid understanding of existing methodologies and tools for assessing platform performance and effectiveness is essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Highly organized with the ability to communicate effectively and develop ideas in a logical sequence leading to valid conclusions.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field such as geopolitical or national security studies is required; additional years of experience may substitute for degree requirements.
  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5.

This position has a projected compensation range. Various factors can influence the final salary or hourly rate, including Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies aligned with the specified role, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education, and certifications, as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
