Human Resources Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator to join our team at Des Moines University. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, supporting the recruitment and engagement of employees across the university.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general support to the HR Team, serving as the first point of contact for recruitment of non-exempt staff, temporary staff, graduate assistants, and student employees and interns.
- Serve as Chair of the University Engagement Committee, leading monthly committee meetings, taking minutes, and posting minutes to Pulse.
- Assemble and distribute materials for DMU milestone programs, recognizing faculty and staff achievements.
- Process recognition program spotlights, assemble welcome materials, and maintain records and templates for employee recognition.
- Collect and compile HR metrics and data from various sources, analyzing trends and patterns related to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of relevant experience required, or three years of related experience, working in human resources, recruitment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of experience in related areas such as recruitment, selection, training, event planning, and/or equal opportunity compliance preferred.
- Considerable knowledge of computerized integrated databases, including human resources information systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferred.
- Experience in a college or university setting desired.
- Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Des Moines University offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and work schedule. We anticipate a starting hourly wage of $26.00 - $28.00/hour, commensurate with the qualifications of the selected candidate. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with the possibility of working remotely 1-2 days per week.
