Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to provide recruitment, employee relations, and general support to our HR Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for managing onboarding administration, including performing background checks, reference checks, and ensuring pre-employment physicals and drug screens are complete. They will also schedule and conduct all onboarding processes, ensuring completion of all new hire paperwork.

The successful candidate will have a strong educational background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and at least 1 year of professional Human Resources coordination experience. They will also have experience with HRIS, HRMS applications, and Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.

Responsibilities:
40%:
Manage onboarding administration, including background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment physicals and drug screens.

40%:
Schedule and conduct all onboarding processes, ensuring completion of all new hire paperwork.

10%:
Maintain employee files, I9's, scorecards, and employee referrals.

5%:
Support the human resources team with compliance and auditing.

5%:
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education:

A two-year college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Experience:
At least 1 year of professional Human Resources coordination experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will have experience with environmental and construction regulations and requirements (EPA, OSHA), or equivalent training and/or experience.

Licenses/Certifications:
Human Resources designations, such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP, are preferred.

Technical Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of HRIS, HRMS applications, and Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, is required. A high level of customer service and data entry experience is also preferred.

Autonomy/Direction:

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required. The successful candidate will be able to translate management's desired outcomes into workable tasks and execute those tasks at their own discretion.
