Facilities Mechanical Engineer

Location: Corvallis, OR Onsite

Pay: $45-$48 Per Hour

Employment Type: 3-6 Month Contract to Hire

Job Overview:

As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer at Revolution Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the core of our clients' manufacturing operations. In a fast-paced and dynamic setting, you will work collaboratively with client stakeholders and fellow team members to define design specifications and create construction documentation for the installation of intricate manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Management: Oversee the engineering of mechanical systems, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, and plumbing for large-scale manufacturing tools.
  • Project Coordination: Generate construction documents, perform engineering calculations, and supervise the sizing, selection, and specification of equipment and components.
  • System Retrofitting: Engineer retrofits for existing mechanical systems to facilitate new tool installations, ensuring compatibility and peak performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Engage directly with multi-disciplinary design teams, including design personnel, client equipment owners, researchers, and equipment manufacturers to develop utility requirement documents and installation design packages.
  • Technical Guidance: Offer technical training, conduct quality checks on designs, and assist with complex aspects of the design process.
  • PE Stamping: May hold PE stamping responsibilities for designs, ensuring compliance with professional engineering standards.
  • Client and Contractor Engagement: Interact with clients and contractors to support on-site construction efforts and ensure project success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Six (6) years of hands-on experience in mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related systems.
  • EIT/FE certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, including their design, installation, or operation in cleanroom environments.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon is highly preferred; actively pursuing licensure is required.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Navisworks software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn best practices and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Demonstrated capacity to quickly acquire new knowledge and a desire to expand expertise.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse teams, including multi-disciplinary design groups.
  • Passion for construction and building systems.
  • Two (2) years of field experience.
