Position Overview

The Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) design team is responsible for developing specifications and design parameters for cutting-edge light water reactors. Utilizing state-of-the-art engineering techniques, the team guarantees that all components adhere to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

This position requires conducting design and stress analyses on pressure vessels and piping systems to ensure compliance with ASME BPVC Section III and relevant regulatory requirements.

All activities are conducted in accordance with ASME NQA-1 quality assurance protocols and guidelines set forth by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Experience in the nuclear industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Over 10 years of experience, including engineering design and stress engineering analysis using design by analysis methodology and the ANSYS software
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME BPVC Section III and proficiency in performing Section 3 analysis with ANSYS

Applicants must be eligible to work under Department of Energy CFR part 810.
