Position Overview:
As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will be engaged in projects that are crucial to advancing our clients' research, development, testing, and manufacturing capabilities. Collaborating with team members and client stakeholders in a dynamic environment, you will help define design requirements and generate construction documents for the installation of sophisticated manufacturing tools, tenant improvements, and essential facility infrastructure enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
In your role as a mechanical representative on a multi-disciplinary design team, you will:

  • Collaborate directly with design staff, equipment owners, stakeholders, and manufacturers of next-generation tools to develop utility requirement documents that facilitate the creation of installation design packages.
  • Engage with clients and contractors throughout the design process, providing assistance with Requests for Information (RFI) and submittal services during the construction phase.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in mechanical facilities engineering, encompassing HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related systems.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) actively pursuing a Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, whether in their manufacture, installation, or operational use in cleanroom environments.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Navisworks software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive approach to learning best practices and contributing innovative ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Effective collaboration within diverse teams, including multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • A passion for buildings and construction.
  • Familiarity with the Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code (OMSC).
  • One (1) year of field experience in an industrial setting.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position requires on-site work at client locations.
  • Candidates must be available for commuting during standard business hours.
  • Relocation assistance may be available for qualified individuals.

Physical Demands:
This role involves field visits and requires the ability to navigate active construction sites. Candidates should be capable of walking long distances, sitting and standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, twisting, crawling, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
