Position Overview

Are you skilled in mechanical and electrical systems? Do you have a passion for delivering top-notch service solutions to clients? As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation as the leading provider of commercial food equipment services.
  • Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of commercial food equipment, such as cooking appliances, food preparation tools, dishwashers, wrapping machines, baking equipment, and refrigeration units.
  • You will operate independently, starting your day from home and visiting various customer locations with minimal supervision.
  • Meeting or exceeding weekly productivity and customer satisfaction targets while ensuring high-quality service will be essential to your role.


Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 2-4 years of relevant mechanical or electrical experience.
  • A valid Driver's License is necessary, as you will be required to drive for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as needed is expected.
  • Attendance at our comprehensive training sessions at our corporate headquarters is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

In this role, you may:
  • Lift weights up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Climb ladders up to 10 ft in height.
  • Occasionally access roofs using extension ladders or fixed ladders exceeding 20 feet.
  • Engage in extensive walking, covering 3-5 miles daily.
  • Drive for extended periods, typically 5-6 hours a day.
  • Kneel, squat, bend, push, and pull as necessary.
  • Work in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Operate motor vehicles and heavy equipment.
  • Utilize machinery and power tools effectively.

Work Environment
  • Work will take place in both office settings and customer facilities, including commercial kitchens.
  • Exposure to varying conditions such as noise, heat, cold, and potentially slippery or dirty environments may occur.
  • Travel may be required up to 50% of the time.

Work Hours
  • Standard business hours with the possibility of occasional extended hours.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to meet urgent deadlines.
  • Extended hours may include evenings and weekends.
  • Normal working hours may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
