Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MEMF Engineering Specialist to join our team at Skookum Contract Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicle and trailer electronic communication systems, including radio frequency systems, satellite systems, and alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, and modifications to ground data/communications equipment.
  • Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc.
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Provide two-person control on all sensitive items.
  • Work as a team with maintenance techs to reduce overall service time and expedite the repair and service cycle.
  • Clean the vehicle and service the vehicle with fuel.
  • Keep accurate trip logs.
  • Provide assistance loading and unloading equipment, properly storing and inventorying equipment parts and supplies.
  • Responsible for maintaining a knowledge of applicable Federal, State, DOE, Corporate, and Plant rules, regulations, Labor Agreements, and Plant-wide operating policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow procedural manuals, lube orders, and wiring to ensure proper diagnosis and repair during scheduled services.
  • Responsible for proper storage, use, and distribution of classified material and equipment.
  • Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Must be able to travel for temporary assignments for up to 6 weeks, working 10 – 12 hour days, variable shifts, and endure exposure to the elements/seasons.
Requirements
  • Valid state driver's license with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
