Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team at ABB. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and network issues in a diverse user environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and network issues
  • Work with team members in troubleshooting and performing root-cause analysis for resolving problems that have multiple dependencies
  • Install and configure desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, and other hardware for end users
  • Install and maintain network equipment
  • Maintain virtual servers
  • Support BUS users as a liaison with other internal support staff
  • Ensure data backups are being performed
  • Support plant telephone systems
  • Requisition computer equipment to support plant operations and advise on software and hardware upgrades
  • Support Lean Flex Flow initiatives
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems, within the United States
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
