Electrical Design Engineer

Nidec is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of commercial and industrial motors. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the creation of innovative motor technologies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a variety of product designs for home and commercial markets. This will involve reviewing customer specifications and requirements, developing compliant designs, and creating associated documentation. The candidate will also be responsible for specifying and evaluating supplier components, supporting testing and qualification, and developing technical documentation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop manufacturing drawings, bills of material, and associated supporting documentation for fabrication and delivery of products and prototypes.
- Support testing, qualification, documentation, and analysis of prototypes, products, systems, or subsystems.
- Develop technical documentation, manuals, and procedures.
- Work with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to achieve project cost and manufacturing efficiency goals.
- Hands-on support of prototype fabrication, assembly, and test.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge in Electrical, Software, and Systems.
- Competent using MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint).
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge by conferring with technical specialists and suppliers, attending educational workshops, and reviewing professional publications.
