POSITION TITLE: RETAIL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

SALARY: GRADE 114

Objective Oversee, coordinate, and execute administrative tasks in the management of a High School Retail Store, in compliance with institutional policies and guidelines.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with supplementary coursework in relevant business disciplines
  • Two or more years of experience in managing financial transactions preferred
  • Proficient in operating standard office equipment including cash registers, 10-key calculators, and computer systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, parents, and the community
  • Ability to secure bonding
  • Typing proficiency at an acceptable speed
  • Excellent human relations capabilities
  • Familiarity with and adherence to all relevant policies, regulations, and procedures
  • Physical capability to lift 30-40 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, and reach
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, oversee, and manage all retail store operations and student activity funds
  • Take charge of receiving, identifying, issuing, collecting, and inventorying all textbooks and supplies
  • Maintain precise records and ledgers, ensuring accountability for all receipts, including preparing cash receipt batches and various reports
  • Input and update diverse information into the computer system
  • Monitor financial transactions from extracurricular activities and fundraising efforts, including preparing and depositing cash collections
  • Assist with student enrollment and withdrawal processes, along with other annual activities
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts with cash register transactions
  • Generate a variety of reports and documents using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Order, receive, stock, sell, and account for all retail supplies; verify purchase orders and invoices; manage class fees and items such as yearbooks and event tickets
  • Prepare cash boxes for use at extracurricular events and athletic activities
  • Monitor cash balances and activities for all auxiliary and student activity accounts
  • Train staff and oversee transactions to ensure compliance with the Uniform System of Financial Record and District policies and procedures
  • Perform related tasks as assigned
  • Execute all duties in a safe and responsible manner as directed
