Position Overview:


The Culinary Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting and overseeing all facets of kitchen operations. This position is accountable for all food product procurement and inventory management, along with the maintenance of kitchen facilities and equipment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional culinary skills and experience in menu creation, while actively supervising, coaching, and mentoring kitchen staff to uphold quality standards and foster a positive, collaborative work atmosphere.

This role offers competitive hourly compensation along with tips.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the effective management of kitchen operations.
  • Ensure adherence to all alcohol service regulations, monitoring compliance throughout events.
  • Provide continuous guidance and mentorship to both exempt and non-exempt kitchen personnel, ensuring high-quality product delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to Point of Sale Systems, addressing both hardware and software challenges.
  • Create employee schedules and validate time records for kitchen operations as necessary.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and development for kitchen staff, as directed by senior culinary leadership.
  • Document employee performance and attendance in line with company policies.
  • Manage event shift logistics and catered events from setup to breakdown, ensuring effective communication with all staff and guests.
  • Coordinate all aspects of food product procurement and inventory management.
  • Guarantee the quality of all bulk recipe preparations and timely presentation of menu items, adhering to company standards.
  • Maintain a budget for food and kitchen supplies.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in kitchen management within a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Basic computer proficiency is preferred, including familiarity with e-mail, Excel, Word, and scheduling software.
  • Working knowledge of Point of Sale and timekeeping systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle cash and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
