K-12 Sales Specialist - Independent Contractor

Overview

Booksource stands as a leading provider of meticulously selected Classroom Libraries tailored for the K-12 sector. Our Sales Specialists serve as the primary representatives in their designated sales regions, establishing, nurturing, and actively maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the Pre-K to 12th-grade educational landscape.

We seek dynamic Sales Specialists who can effectively engage our clientele and contribute to the expansion of our business within existing accounts while also establishing connections with new educational districts. This role offers competitive earning potential for an external Sales Specialist, supported by comprehensive marketing resources and engaging training from various internal teams. Your success in business is integral to our collective success, and we pride ourselves on fostering strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with our Sales Specialists.

This position operates as an independent, commission-based contractor.

Collaborative Relationships

Booksource Regional Sales Manager / Literacy Account Manager

We are in search of candidates who possess:

· A proven track record in sales, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience.

· Proficiency in recognizing and addressing customer needs through effective sales techniques.

· A team-oriented approach to enhance collaboration with internal Literacy Account Managers.

· Strong capabilities in maintaining existing customer relationships while developing new connections in prospective territories.

· Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

· Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory for sales engagements, trade shows, and other opportunities.

· Familiarity with the K-12 education system is advantageous.

Key Objectives:

· Formulate a sales strategy that aligns with marketing initiatives, product offerings, and the acquisition of new business.

· Drive sales growth in designated territories while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Resources available include Booksource National Sales Manager, Literacy Account Managers, and Customer Care teams.

· Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with leads to facilitate conversion into customers.

· Engage in Booksource training sessions to continuously enhance the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to position Booksource as an industry leader and effectively promote our products and services.

· Follow up on leads generated by Booksource from Classroom sign-ups and National/Regional trade shows.

· Efficiently manage time in a virtual office setting.
