The Product Solutions Architect (PSA) team serves as a technical catalyst, designing reusable solutions for Technical Solutions and Product Management to meet customer requirements, ultimately enhancing our Products and Services to foster adoption, usage, and growth.

The Opportunity:

The Product Solutions Architecture team collaborates closely with Datadog's clientele, as well as our Product Management, Engineering, and Technical Solutions teams, to architect and implement the Datadog Solution. As the team expands to encompass over 12 Product Categories, we seek a highly driven, results-oriented individual to lead this initiative.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of skilled individual contributors, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management on their offerings, while establishing best practices for large-scale adoption of Datadog.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection of top-tier talent for the team.
  • Guide and mentor new hires during their onboarding process to ensure effective skill and capability development.
  • Ensure alignment of your team with key company objectives and facilitate collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and work together on executing individual development plans.
  • Act as a Trusted Advisor to Product Management by providing valuable insights based on your field experience working closely with Sales, Support, Partners, and Customers.
  • Provide strategic guidance on architectural decisions, data collection, and best practices to large Enterprise clients as they implement Datadog services across their organizations.
  • Engage in high-level discussions with prominent customers and prospects regarding overall architecture, Observability Best Practices, and industry trends.

Your Profile:

  • Over 10 years of experience in addressing complex customer challenges with a deep understanding of the observability domain.
  • Proficient in engaging and influencing key stakeholders (VPs, C-level executives) within large organizations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-versed in the monitoring market landscape, competitive dynamics, technological advancements, and customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to nurture and develop a team.
  • Experienced in recruiting both individual contributors and frontline leaders.
  • Able to approach a diverse range of challenges with strategic and creative thinking.
