About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team at Amplitude. As a key member of our sales engineering team, you will be responsible for guiding our enterprise prospects and customers in leveraging Amplitude's platform to create better, stickier, and more interesting digital products.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with product leaders, data leaders, marketing leaders, and other stakeholders to drive business and technical discoveries. You will lead winning proof steps to creatively position Amplitude's value in the context of our customers' businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver world-class, storytelling-based demos and run pointed discovery sessions to own proofs of value of Amplitude's solution.
  • Couple your product, data, and analytics expertise to align Amplitude's solution with enterprise customer pains.
  • Lead conversations with technical teams on topics such as data import, data quality, data governance, and reference architecture.
  • Work closely with account executives, product development, engineering, and customer success to ensure a seamless buying experience for our prospects.
  • Advise prospects on their data strategy and growth stack architecture to ensure efficient and high-quality results.
  • Provide guidance on preferred integration methods to technical stakeholders.
  • Advise prospects on the kinds of data they should be collecting to produce their desired results.
  • Scope and lead hands-on evaluations with prospects to inspire them and make them enthusiastic about using the platform.
  • Be an in-house expert in Amplitude's product and stay up-to-date on product releases and new features.
  • Assist in training new SC team hires and hand off well-structured, use-case-based deals to our post-sales teams.
  • Enhance the Amplitude product roadmap forward by sharing product feedback and new requirements from the field back to our product management team.
  • Travel to customer on-sites to deliver demos and build strong customer relationships.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of enterprise software experience, including at least 3 years of pre-sales or solution engineering experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
  • Clear understanding of the modern growth stack, including data, messaging, A/B testing, and analytics.
  • Technical experience in tools using SDKs and APIs.
  • Appetite for learning about the world of product development, digital marketing, behavioral analytics, and data science.
  • Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences.
