Job Title: Project Controls Specialist II (Cost Analyst)

Are you passionate about ensuring project success through meticulous financial management and analysis? We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist II (Cost Analyst) to join our team at Project Support Services.

As a Project Controls Specialist II (Cost Analyst), you will play a crucial role in monitoring and maintaining the integrity of project budgets and forecasts. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed cost variance analysis, reviewing financial reports, evaluating contract change orders, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project budgets and forecasts according to established procedures
  • Provide quality assurance on financial tracking and cost performance
  • Analyze cost variances to identify trends and mitigate budget impacts
  • Review monthly cost reports and progress reports
  • Evaluate contract change orders and amendments
  • Interact with technical leads to address budget-related issues
  • Implement Project Support Services policies and procedures for cost management
  • Present data to management in an organized manner
  • Respond to requests for financial information from Project Support Services staff
  • Travel to project locations as needed

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in program and/or project controls in construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • Experience working through the entire project life cycle
  • Knowledge of cost/schedule management, earned value management, change management, forecasting, and risk assessment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Proliance, Data-Warehouse, or similar systems preferred
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
