Position Overview:
- Evaluates and enforces construction and professional services agreements.
- Oversees and directs contractors and external consultants, including the review and approval of invoices.
- Identifies project risks and formulates risk registers along with mitigation strategies.
- Facilitates the resolution of construction and design challenges.
- Collaborates with Architects to ensure timely and precise responses to requests for information, submittals, and Construction Change Documents.
- Produces and disseminates meeting minutes for construction and design meetings.
- Verifies the contractor's maintenance of record drawings prior to processing monthly progress payments.
- Maintains project documentation in both electronic and physical formats.
- Reviews submittals for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Performs other job-related duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- 5-8 years of recent professional experience in a comparable role related to project or construction management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
Additional relevant experience exceeding the minimum requirement may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to take initiative and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the installation of IT, networking, access control, and/or audio-visual systems.
- Experience in educational programs/projects.
- Experience with Division of State Architect (DSA) projects.
- Experience with large public works initiatives.
- Professional Engineer License (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or similar credentials.
