Job Title: Director/Project Controls Specialist (System Construction & Space)

Location: Remote (onsite 1 – 2 days/week)

Duration: 3+ Months (Temp to Hire)

Rate: $70- $84.13/hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Financial Oversight and Reporting (60%):
    • Establish and manage project control frameworks to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met.
    • Manage project financials, including cost reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
    • Oversee scheduling activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Business and Financial Analysis (20%):
    • Produce project/program control reports and analyze project spending.
    • Develop analytics for vendor performance, change orders, and project overruns.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills (10%):
    • Maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders, including construction managers and university partners.
    • Communicate critical updates and ensure coordination with the Design & Construction team.
  • Implementation & Training (5%):
    • Train and mentor staff on project controls, and implement project management systems and tools.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 8 years in construction management or financial administration with increasing leadership/management responsibility.
