Position Overview

Hours: Approximately 5-10 hours per week.

Duration: Fall 2024 Term (with a possibility to extend)

Role Summary:

The Social Media Content Creator Intern will collaborate with the Marketing Content Strategist and the Social Media Team to develop, capture, and produce engaging content, particularly focused on TikTok. We seek an innovative individual who is knowledgeable about social media trends, eager to learn, and available to occasionally film on campus. The intern will assist in identifying popular trends and generating content ideas relevant to their academic program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, produce, and publish 1-2 TikTok videos weekly
  • Participate in a monthly in-person meeting/filming session (scheduling is flexible)
  • Conduct weekly virtual check-ins
  • Provide coverage for special events (recording in classrooms, interviewing peers, documenting student activities, participating in video shoots, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Current student at Northwestern Health Sciences University
  • Comfortable both in front of and behind the camera (the intern will frequently appear in social media content and will also create behind-the-scenes material)
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Creative thinker
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms
  • Preferred experience in graphic design, social media management, and video production/editing
