Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Project Engineer to join our team at Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI). As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for the conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new, upgraded, and expanded substations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver physical, electrical, civil, and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits, and specifications.
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing best-in-class projects, including client and stakeholder coordination, training, and mentoring of design staff.
  • Oversee design engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with ECI's subject matter expert discipline groups to complete specialized tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 6+ years of project and design engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE license.
  • Advanced knowledge of power engineering principles.
  • Expertise in applicable codes, standards, and design tools.
  • Basic project management execution skills.
  • Ability to oversee and direct design personnel on a project team.
