Job Overview

Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Project Engineer to enhance our Northeast Ground Transportation Services Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assess the allocation of hours and financial resources against project milestones and budgets, offering insights to the Project Manager to ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Foster an understanding of the client's organizational structure and cultivate professional relationships with counterparts.
  • Achieve expertise in relevant software applications and tools to facilitate construction oversight and evaluation.
  • Propose solutions to address challenges related to project timelines and financial constraints.
  • Mentor and guide new construction technician personnel.
  • Evaluate and authorize progress payments from contractors while advising both the Contractor and Client on potential budget variances.
  • Navigate complex project decisions and technical challenges in collaboration with clients and contractors.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of as-built conditions.
  • Lead regular discussions with clients and contractors to ensure project alignment.
  • Prepare, assess, and authorize change orders and value engineering proposals.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of construction schedules, providing feedback and recommendations to address discrepancies and potential overruns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, coupled with over 5 years of experience in construction oversight.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Certification in OSHA 10 Construction and Confined Space for Construction, or HAZWOPER.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Certification in one or more programs recognized by NICET, ACI, NETTCP, or an equivalent.
  • Capability to engage in tasks requiring moderate to intense physical effort.
