Job Summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking a skilled Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our properties in the San Francisco region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of our properties, including compliance with regulatory agencies and federal, state, and local laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce property rules and regulations, lease documents, and report any violations.
  • Process and maintain accurate resident files, adhering to established regulatory guidelines.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff members, ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Ensure program compliance with HUD, TCAC, Home Program, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP, and other relevant regulations.
  • Collect and process deposits and rents in accordance with program policies and procedures.
  • Ensure site staff responds to resident requests and complaints in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Complete work orders and turnover of vacant units in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, training, and evaluation with Tax Credit properties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with Boston Post software knowledge a plus.
