**Job Title:** Accounts Administrator

**About the Role:** Merit Personnel & Consulting seeks an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and bookkeeping, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Sort documents by account name/number and enter invoices into A/P system for payment.
  • Prepare vouchers in Excel or prepare an Excel file for upload for payment approval.
  • Process payment requests, ensuring necessary internal approvals have been received.
  • Communicate with various departments and vendors regarding the status of outstanding invoices.


**Qualifications Required:**
  • Superior aptitude with figures.
  • Experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping.
  • Knowledge of general accounting and/or bookkeeping principles.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.


**Salary Information:** We offer a competitive salary of $25-30/hr (Contract). This rate is based on industry standards and takes into account the cost of living in New York, NY.
