Patient Services Coordinator

Position Title: Receptionist (Part-Time, 29-32 Hours Weekly)

Overview:
NHC HealthCare Garden City is seeking a dedicated and personable Part-Time Receptionist to become a vital part of our team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our visitors, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions, and showcasing strong organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist visitors with a friendly demeanor.
- Manage incoming calls with clarity and professionalism, ensuring messages are accurately taken and delivered.
- Prepare correspondence as directed, including meeting minutes and newsletters.
- Compile and organize admission documentation.
- Handle financial transactions for the General Account and Patient Trust Fund with precision.
- Maintain accountability for meal ticket sales to staff and guests.
- Process petty cash disbursements while keeping detailed records.
- File various documents and manage incoming mail as per administrative guidelines.
- Distribute paychecks in a secure manner.
- Assist with employee insurance claims and incident reports under supervision.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures diligently.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in a receptionist role, particularly in a healthcare setting, is preferred.
- Typing proficiency of at least 45 words per minute with accuracy.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Friendly and approachable personality, both in person and over the phone.
- Fluency in Standard English is essential.
