Job Description

Position Overview:
The Healthcare Administrative Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks that support both patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient scheduling needs.
- Oversee patient appointment calendars and ensure efficient use of time slots.
- Confirm patient insurance details and process benefits and eligibility checks.
- Facilitate prior authorizations for home health services through insurance providers.
- Maintain and update patient records within electronic systems, specifically WellSky.
- Coordinate referrals to additional healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Assist in the management of medical records, including organizing, scanning, and filing documents.
- Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence and mail.
- Perform general office duties such as data entry, faxing, copying, and filing.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a receptionist or administrative role within a home health environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with obtaining prior authorizations is essential.
- Understanding of ICD 10 coding and medical terminology is required.
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems, particularly WellSky.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Excellent organizational abilities with a knack for multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
- Competence in managing phone systems and handling multiple lines.

Job Type: Part-time with the potential to transition to full-time after a designated orientation period.
