Prefab Project Leader

US-Offsite is in search of a skilled Prefab Project Leader to manage the strategic planning of modular residential building initiatives. This role encompasses overseeing projects that range from accessory dwelling units (ADUs) to small multifamily developments. As we aim to broaden our operations to include larger multifamily projects across the western region, your expertise will be crucial in steering these efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all stages of project execution, including planning, scheduling, and financial oversight for the production of 3,000 – 6,000 sq. ft. of modular residential structures monthly.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with engineers and architects to establish project specifications, facilitating clear communication with design and production teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the factory, emphasizing respect and collaboration among all team members.
  • Negotiate and establish subcontractor agreements for factory operations as necessary.
  • Implement time tracking systems to monitor project progress from sales through to delivery, including installation instructions.
  • Source all required materials for construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency and timely availability for the production team.
  • Collaborate with the design manager to review final plans before manufacturing, ensuring constructability.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to enhance the overall project management workflow.
  • Coordinate with the Production Superintendent to align on materials and timelines for each project.
  • Exercise delegated authority from the Owner and Executive Team, providing leadership that contributes to the overall success of the organization.
  • Ensure quality assurance in accordance with our QA manual throughout every project phase, including coordination with state inspectors as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, quality assessments, corrections, and installation guidelines tailored to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including sales, design, procurement, production, finance, and administration, to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in residential or commercial construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications proficiently.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and leading teams effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience in managing work crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with various residential trades, including utilities, concrete, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and other project management software.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, building science, or a related field.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000 based on experience.
  • Bi-weekly payment schedule.
  • Standard work week of 40+ hours.
  • Mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use at 65 cents per mile.
  • Benefits eligibility following a probationary period.
  • Annual vacation accrual of 80 hours, increasing with tenure.
  • Annual sick leave of 24 hours.
  • Five paid holidays as designated by US-Offsite.
  • Medical, Vision, and Dental coverage with partial employer contribution.
