Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the President, the Senior Vice President for Student Engagement is responsible for comprehensive oversight of student-related departments. This role encompasses strategic planning, financial management, and operational leadership across various sectors that impact the student experience. The Senior Vice President will guide all facets of Student Engagement, including Housing, Student Life, Campus Safety, Counseling Services, and Recreational Programs. Collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team is essential for fostering a cohesive approach to student affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the presence of qualified personnel to fulfill operational needs.
  • Adhere to regulations set forth by State and Federal entities.
  • Provide input on recruitment processes in collaboration with directors and faculty.
  • Lead initiatives in planning, program development, and execution.
  • Assess and enhance technological resources for institutional effectiveness.
  • Analyze performance data to inform decisions on programs and student services.
  • Oversee staff performance evaluations to guarantee effective supervision and professional growth.
  • Review student policies and systems to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Collaborate with university leaders to align priorities with institutional goals.
  • Coordinate research efforts to support institutional effectiveness and student achievement.
  • Manage budgetary processes for all relevant departments.
  • Support administrative functions related to student recruitment, retention, and support services.
  • Contribute to the development of academic policies and student conduct guidelines.
  • Identify external funding opportunities for professional development initiatives.
  • Participate in the Executive Leadership Team and other relevant committees.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • A Master's degree from an accredited institution is required; a Doctorate in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in higher education settings.
  • Experience in student engagement within a collegiate environment is essential.
