Veterinary Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Vetcelerator is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing surgical procedures, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Surgical Procedures: Conduct a range of surgical procedures, from routine spays and neuters to complex soft tissue surgeries, with precision and care.
- Conduct Physical Examinations and Diagnostic Tests: Assess the health status of patients and formulate treatment plans through thorough physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
- Provide General Medical Care: Offer vaccinations, parasite control, and preventive healthcare measures to ensure the overall wellness of patients.
- Communicate Effectively: Provide guidance on nutrition, behavior, and overall wellness to pet owners, ensuring they are informed and empowered to make the best decisions for their pets.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work seamlessly with colleagues to maintain accurate medical records and ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Participate in Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and surgical techniques through ongoing education and training.
Requirements:
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Licensing: Valid state veterinary license in good standing or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in diagnostics, treatment, surgery, and preventive care.
- Attributes: Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to animal welfare.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes and weights, and to stand for extended periods.
